World Flight

First Stockholm to Helsinki
ABA, Aktiebolaget Aerotransport, Swedish Air Lines, is one of the predecessors to Scandinavian Airlines Systems, SAS.
In 1924 ABA flew the first airliner flight between Stockholm Sweden and Helsinki Finland.
On June 2, 1924 the flight took off from Lindarängens harbour airport in Stockholm.
The plane was a Junkers F 13 fitted with pontoons carrying the registration S-AAAC.
In 1929 the registration was changed to SE-AAC.
The plane could carry four passengers.
The aircraft is now on display at the technical museum in Stockholm, not far from the old Lindarängen airport.
