Brito Pais World attempt

On April 7 1924, the Portuguese Commander Brito Pais and Captain Sarmento de Beires departed from Lisbon eastbound in the Breguet 16. The aircraft was called Bn2 Patria. Their plan was to attempt to fly around the world. They crashed the Patria in India, but they continued in the de Havilland DH Liberty 9A called Patria II. They continued their flight, flying over Macau on June 20, 1924.

They had flown 11,000 miles and while in Macau decided to abandon their round-the-world flight goal.
