William Boeing and Eddie Hubbard made aviation history in March 1919 when they flew to Vancouver, British Columbia. They picked up mail and delivered it back to Seattle,, almost.
Halfway through the trip’s northbound leg, snow forced an overnight stop in Anacortes. On the return trip, low fuel forced them to land 25 miles north of Seattle.
